We had a blast helping kids with special needs play baseball on Saturday. It was a new opportunity for many of us. Even Dylan had a blast and met a new friend in the process. It was a very hot day, but so rewarding for us all.

The First Game
The first game was with a group of older kids and adults. Many were college age or even older. They were so excited to have us out there as their buddies. It was amazing watching their excitement about playing the game and talking with us.

Friday Night at Axis
We had a great time Friday night at the Axis building. We played pool, ping pong, air hockey, and the Wii during the first part of the night. Those brave (or crazy) souls who dared to play the Wii kept everyone in the room laughing. Then we finished the night off by playing Mad Gab. Now that was funny! It sounded like a bunch of people who needed some speech lessons. Michael kept us rolling with his funny accents, and Bonnie made the other team mad when she kept getting all the answers.

Christmas Party
The Christmas party at Sarah's house was a lot of fun. We ate good food (prepared by Sarah and Donald) and played some fun games. Also, everyone brought a gag gift to exchange. The hideous gloves that Dylan and I brought were a hit. It was so funny watching Bonnie's face as she opened that one. Dylan still refers to them as "the yuckie gloves."

Bowling
We had a great time bowling last Saturday night. Sarah got the highest score for the girls. I'm not sure who won for the guys. Philip wouldn't let me see. Apparently he wasn't the champion. LOL!
The kids enjoyed their lane too. Dylan had a blast, especially since Laken was helping him. He gave her a hug every time he bowled.
Dylan helped Michael and John get strikes when he cheered them on. However, his "good luck power" didn't work at all for the girls!
I'll post the bowling pics later--as soon as I get more batteries for my camera.
